What is Tandoor?

The igloo-shaped clay oven known as the Tandoor is closely identified with Indian cooking.Chicken, lamb, fish and naan are all grilled in the Tandoor, after marinating the chicken, lamb and fish, this is then put on long skewers that are lowered into the Tandoor to be grilled. All naan is made in the Tandoor, round balls of dough are slapped against the sides of the Tandoor and peeled off when crisply charred. All Tikka, Tandoori and Naan dishes are made in the Tandoor.

What is Pokora?

Made from gram flour and mixed with Indian spices, this is then fried with the filling of your choice.

What is Raita?

Made from yoghurt and Indian spices, is eaten like a dip with all meals.

What is Indian Lassi?

Is a traditional indian drink, made from cream and yoghurt, which gives a thick texture, and very refreshing, lassi can be drunk with your meal or dessert.

What is Palak sauce*?

Mild in taste, green in colour, made from spinach and Indian spices.

What is Curry sauce*?

A traditional rich in flavour and taste, thick sauce made from Indian spices.

What is Makhani sauce*?

Mild in taste, full of flavour ,redish orange in colour made from tomato's, cashew nuts and indian spices.

What is Masala sauce**?

Made from a variety of Indian spices and yoghurt.

What is Madras sauce***?

Very spicy in taste, made coconut and indian spices.

What is Vindaloo sauce***?

Very spicy in taste, red in colour, made from tomato's and indian spices.
