Our Policy

Riga's nightlife has changed dramatically over the years and this is why Paddy Whelan's work closely with the embassies of Great Britain and Ireland for the responsible safety of tourists. From all of us here, we want you to have a great time and remember it the following day and for years to come, but we need your help. So here are a few things to keep in mind:

Above all, respect other guests and the staff.

You must be at least 21 years-old to enter. If you are younger you must be accompanied by an adult.

Singing is fun, but only to a certain extent. Please keep the noise level down so you don't bother other guests.

The bar staff can refuse to serve you if you're deemed to have had too much. If a person is told that he/she is too intoxicated to buy alcohol, don't be a hero and help out. This rule is for your safety.

The bar will not sell alcohol to anyone younger than 18 and please don't buy alcohol from the bar for minors. This is illegal!

You are only allowed to consume alcohol on the premises. Don't take drinks outside unless the area belongs to the pub i.e. backyard and front terrace.

Please use the ashtrays and the rubbish bins – NOT the floor.

If you break it you buy it! So please try not to break glasses, chairs, tables, jerseys upstairs, posters or anything you normally would not break in your own home. We reserve the right to demand compensation for anything you break.

Getting naked can be really exciting, especially if it is your first time, but this is not the place for this sort of behavior. Please keep all your clothes on.

We don't offer dancing on the furniture here and we would be grateful if you also didn't use any of the furniture for anything else but its intended purposes.

The only accepted drugs here are alcohol and nicotine. Anyone seen using any illegal substances will be reported to the police.

Keep an eye on your personal belongings because we will not be held responsible if they go missing.

If you are a large group of people, please inform the staff and we will try to speed up your service.

And remember that no one likes a potty mouth so cool it with the four-letter words, please.
